They want me back

By | April 3, 2012

If there is anyone left out there who still finds it difficult to believe that Kaiser Permanente is nothing more than a huge, uncaring bureaucracy that values money more than the needs of individual patients, the following letter I received from Kaiser VP Mitch Ross should finally put those doubts to rest forever:

They want me:

Please Come Back

They really want me:

They REALLY Want Me

Uh, Mitch… No.

    I wonder if I’ll get a third notice? 😆

You know as well as the rest of us fools that had Kaiser Permanente as our medical provider, they don’t want you back, they are only interested in shutting you up, but you also seen thru their scheme in trying to intice you back as a member, I personally think that it is time that you also joined in on a Class Action Suit against Kaiser, now that we are no longer Kaiser members, we don’t fall under their Arbitration Rule any longer, now it will be in open court, and it will get top billing in the press, and on T.V.it has to happen, the public needs to hear and know of their underhanded medical practices.

With regard to the letters, I’m pretty sure I’m just another number in a huge impersonal database — kinda like they treat their patients. They’ll probably find a way to get me out of there now though, since they are well aware of who I am. The whole thing just tickles my funny bone, because they try so hard in their stupid ads to convince their future victims that they care on a personal level.

I keep getting the same trash in the mail and I am always horrified. It seems like some kind of a cruel joke, especially since they killed my baby girl. These creeps have a lot of nerve.

Would they go to the extreme of falsifying information in order to manipulate someone to continue coverage?

After they knew my coverage was to end on the first of July, my results from some blood tests indicated that I was infected of something whereas there were no symptoms and, negative tests from the past, would prove such information was misleading.

Their system also generated a call trying to find out if I was covered through another insurer on top of receiving spam in my email offering insurance.

How dare they share my personal information! Can they do that? Where could I find out what my rights are under the new health law? Can I be uninsured for a period of time without being bothered by any of these wolfs?

They dropped me because I could not pay my bill anymore. Fair enough but when I got myself back on my feet they said they couldn’t cover me due to a pre existing condition. The same minor, inexpensive condition that I had when they first covered me 15 years earlier. Now I’m getting the exact same “second notices” as you. How can I reach this guy and tell him to leave me the fuck alone?

Simply put. Mitch Ross has ruined my healthcare single handedly.

I joined KP because my husband retired last year; he was old enough for Medicare, but I had 8 months til I qualified. Once January 2015 came around I dropped them so fast. A month AFTER I left KP I started receiving late notices to huge bills from them. I called believing I was a victum of Fraud. They informed me that I indeed owed this huge amount of money for the tests that they insisted I had to have as a new patient. When I asked them why I was not billed months earlier ( so I could have stopped incurring huge bills) they said they had sent the bills to a former address of mine.I had not been at that address for 20 years. Now, they had my current address and phone number and were sending my letters all during this period; just not these bills. I don’t believe they intended to bill me anything extra until I decided to leave; then they decided to throw huge charges at me. I believe this is punitive for not staying with them.

I was not ill with anything that they “required” me to do; they claimed that I had to do it and that it was all part of getting their records current. I did pay a co pay at the time of the tests, no problem. I asked the Dr. and or the representative that would call to set up appointments about the costs. They said it was a co pay and told me how much the co pay was. However, the $50,00 co pays have now turned into $600 HOSPITAL bills. Never went to a hospital either. Never heard back on these tests.

Any prior experiance on how to deal with this would be appreciated. These extrodinary bills are not easy to pay now that we are on Medicare.
