[Updated September 12, 2019 to add link to our archive of Arce vs. Kaiser autism class action lawsuit documents and court filings]
On 04/08/2008 a lawsuit was filed against Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles Superior Court, on behalf of a two-year-old child that Kaiser has refused to treat for autism. The lawsuit accuses Kaiser of breach of contract, bad faith, unfair dealing, and is seeking class action status on the third complaint. As a result of the case, the DMHC is conducting a massive investigation into Kaiser’s practice of dumping all autistic children onto the government for care, and shifting its financial obligation onto taxpayers.
As one reader explained in this comment on another post:
Kaiser is required to treat Autism by statutory and contractual obligation, but on the other hand they claim not to cover any of the treatments for Autism in violation of the law. Their contract specifically provides for the treatment of Autism. However, the “treatment” that Kaiser offered the baby was two OT sessions a month, one visit with the Psychiatrist (no follow ups), and an assessment every three months. I wonder-what are they going to assess if there are no treatments offered?
All parents who feel Kaiser may have unfairly denied their child’s treatment for Autism are requested to contact attorney Scott Glovsky at sglovsky@arkinglovsky.com.
I can’t imagine kaiser even being competent enough to treat autism. They just seem so worthless all the way around.
Kaiser are too cheap to even clean their own bathrooms. Their “environmental services” dept is a fancy term for pick up the full garbage cans and make sure the floors shine. I kid you not on a daily basis they are not even wiping the toilet seats anymore. Forgot door knobs or other surfaces. And if you work at a desk at Kaiser, they even require you to clean your own desk & work area. If your area isn’t kept clean, you are graded down on your annual evaluation. Do you think they provide the supplies for this? Absolutely NOT! In fact it is common in my area for workers to give up trying to get supplies ordered and bring in their own things from home. Is this anyway for a “nonprofit” company who makes insane profits to act??????
The press is now aware of the story. The story about this little boy, was published in the L.A. Times and L.A. Daily, a legal newspaper in L.A. The lawsuit is the first of is kind and it is bound to set precedent.

I just wanted to pass along some information to you. No wonder they don’t want to help the children with autism. do you realize that there is a connection between Kaiser and Bayer. BayerAG. They commited fraud together or at least kaiser was the recipient of the fraud.http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m3374/is_/ai_101290972
Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals is a leading global specialty pharmaceutical and biotechnology …
This is an important connection because the crop sciences and biotechnolgy which is hudge with Bayer create virus’s and infections in livestock using agrobacterium tumefaciems. They grow proteins for use in their medicines. They create MRSA and staff and then followup with antibiotics to treat them. perhaps they have a stake in the autism. check out the connection between these two. google kaiser and monsanto too. I beleive they are the reason that kaiser was given the cdc contract to research morgellons. it all makes me feel sick…the profit of illness. I pray for your dear children. God Bless.
