The only way to get the correct diagnosis and get the proper medical help may be to have an evaluation with the very best independent specialist you can find. Get his recommendations for a diagnostic and treatment protocol. Take this to Kaiser- Be CALM, but persistent. Also, be aware that Kaiser absolutely practices punitive behavior against patients who are very persistent. Keep a journal ( with photos? ) on every interaction with Kaiser. If you are too ill, ask someone to help. It is always good to have a second person with you. May God and the power of Truth be with you.

People, if you are not already doing so, use the kaiser website's messaging center to ask for help, or to report a situation. Use *short*, to- the-point messages to the doctor such as "this (name situation) is happening to me, and I need you to (name your need). Compile your evidence and print it. Never lose your cool and always make suggestions. Get full copies of your medical records yearly if you have time. Always make a report of your needs to your member service department. Get names of workers you speak to on the phone and note the times of the calls. Ask politely that your needs be met, it works better to be politely assertive. Record your conversations if you need to. Remember you are allowed to change doctors at Kaiser at any time without giving a reason. The Kaiser site explains that they agree you should have physicians you are comfortable with. Hold them to that promise. Keep trying if you are healthy enough to persist, but realize that Arbitration is unfair at this time in history. I tried that myself and you all are all correct when you state that you feel that way. *Please* make things better by joining forces with organizations that are fighting forced arbitration. Be part of the cure. I have been with Kaiser since 1986 and honestly, I've had bad experiences with care, some serious. Also have seen many mistakes with my loved ones. I stay with Kaiser because I would like to see it change and see them set an example. Thank you all for taking the time to document your situations. It grieves me that our country cannot provide better care for everyone. and bless you for expressing your views. Keep doing that, its important, and pray that others down the line are given the help they need because your stories *do* matter.

MENTAL HEALTH CONFIDENTIALITY/PRIVACY DOES NOT EXIST WITH KAISER. I am slightly encouraged. My concern is as a retired kaiser medical person. I have found out that my mental health visits and diagnosis are now availble to every Dr. I see in medicine. The Diagnosis vary and differ depending totally on my experience with a member of mental health staff. The staff who print these up are medical assistance or such and then ??????????? and then into the doctors hands which your Dr. will be holding when he/she come into the clinic room to examine you. ASK TO SEE IT FOR YOURSELF!!!!!!
A POLICEMAN OFFERS YOU YOUR MIRANDA RIGHTS KASIER DOES NOT

It's about time. I have bipolar disorder with a history of multiple psychiatric hospitalizations and suicide attempts. I take a complicated cocktail of medications to stay stable. Formerly I used to see a psychiatrist every 2-3 months. I moved to a new county 2 years ago. I have not seen a psychiatrist for a year.
On one occasion, I was attempting to make an appointment with my psychiatrist and he informed me that he had no available appts. That's right, he could not offer me an appt. I was going to have to wait until the next "block" of appts opened up and call back. I have been put on "booking lists" that do not seem to exist. I have been sent to "med groups" where you are seen by the doctor one at a time like one of a herd of cattle.
On 5/1 I missed an appt because I had fallen asleep. I called the office right before my appt time and asked if I could at least have a phone conversation with the Dr. as I live an hour away and would not be able to make it in time. As it turns out, they said I only would have 10 minutes to speak with him due to an emergency. If I had driven down there, would it have only been for a 10 minute appt? I was not contacted about this. The doctor rebooked an appt for me, but it is not until the end of June. That is his earliest opening.
Have they come anywhere close to correcting their issues? Hell no.

An importance notice to all work related injuries, co not seek kaiser permanete Hawaii assistance there have been cases injured workers with gang green and others that have had a coronary episode that never received an angio-gram or related service.
Why does Kaiser have preferential treatment? What is their issue with minorities? Ask that minority if a white person commits the same mistake, they get a slap on the wrist, but if its someone of another race, it becomes a mountain not a mole hill. This explicit behavior shows a criminal organization. Very simple solution. Minorities and Muslims, as people of color and different belief, WE NEED TO STOP BUYING MEMBERSHIP WITH KAISER!!!!!!

here's a fun one- i'm an ex K employee. i was attacked by a crazy co-worker at kiaser panorama city and injured. when i went to hr they covered it up. when i went to the police i was fired. the administer (Dr. John LaComb Ph.D.* degree also phoney * ) that railroaded me out on phoney charges recently settled out of court on a sexual harassment law suit, and last year lost a wrongful termination case among others. but kaiser keeps him there even though they know damn well he is embezzling them with false credentials. not even college grad until he mailed away for a diploma. of course they couldn't have pulled it off w/o another bunch of crooks called seiu - kaiser so cal is corrupt but thick with good old boys. it's hard to believe but it's all true.

Your post makes me sad. I worked for KP for ten years. Pts on ventilators can't be transferred without the following- and ambubag and a competent staff member who can ventilate the patient. All staff have received this training = basic rescue breathing should have been performed until reintubation could take place. I am so very sorry. With the cap on wrongful death in CA set at $250k I truly believe KP would rather pay this than treat patients.
