My daughter got high fever for several days and we took her to the one of the kaiser clinicss on Sat. And the doctor wrongly diagnose and prescribe a wrong medicine for my daughter. We ask the doctor a couple of times that my daughter has some kind of medical problem and cann't take some types of medicines. The doctor didn't not even look into my daughter's medical record and said it is fine for her to take the medicine. On Monday, the doctor called us that it was better to quit the medicine. My poor daughter has already taken five doses! Now she needs to see a specialist tomorrow. What a doctor!Shame on you. I hope my daughter is fine and we will take further action if she doesn't get better.

Wow reading all this has left me in AW, not only because I too have an Autistic son who has been denied treatment and simply told to get treatment at the regional center and his school, but today was our worst experience yet. In the Woodland Hills Optometry department, which isn't the first time but today was REALLY BAD, we were called names, my son had his glasses thrown on him and said just go, and my other son was hit with a purse that was thrown at us when we were leaving. After waiting OVER an hour, what Autistic child is not going to get disruptive? Even though I asked to be taken ahead if possible because of my son they still ignored the fact. And refused to take the fliers I tried giving them to educate and help them understand that my son was not misbehaving, he was Autistic. It's a cruel world out there in Kaiser for us parents with Autistic kids...

My son has been 'blacklisted' at Kaiser. Regardless of his symptoms, he is labeled as 'mental'. He is perfectly sane, as Kaiser's own psychologist has ascertained. Recently, he has suffered complications from a flu virus and Kaiser has refused to investigate possible brain damage. I am paying for him to get treatment outside of insurance 100% from own pocket. Kaiser has a diabolical system for surviving as an institution, worse than any Communist/Nazi mind could have imagined. I will work with anyone who has a good plan to retaliate. In any case, you complain, you are BLACKLISTED - it's clear as day. They will let you die.

"Kaiser physicians & medical staff in the Antelope Valley do everything they can not to help patients that complain about the care they receive from Kaiser."

Well, I have a feeling this is about to change, in a big way. Transparency and responsibility and CHANGE are the words of the day. Kaiser's ways are the wrong way and will no longer be tolerated under the new administration. Just wait, their time is comin'. You can count on it.

Kaiser physicians are great when it comes to covering each others butts to make themselves look good. Nobody at Kaiser wants to looks bad.

Kaiser is also great when it comes to making the patient look bad, hiding medical diagnoses, and over medicating patients.

Kaiser physicians & medical staff in the Antelope Valley do everything they can not to help patients that complain about the care they receive from Kaiser.

Kaiser patients that have had problems in the Antelope Valley (Lancaster or Palmdale) especially Kaisers new Urgent Care in Lancaster CA, are encouraged to post on this site.

Bravo to the Arce's but don't think it will have any long term effects to change a badly damaged unhealth care plot. Diagnosis are purposely withheld, and Kaiser doctors are financially rewarded for withholding tests and services. The Kaiser philosophy is "Patient heal thyself" and I think it works for them because if you don't heal you die, and then they are rid of you.For example send two patients to Kaiser for the same problem, if one is Workers Comp WC will get much more expensive and appropriate care because the payment doesn't come from Kaiser. How can a CEO at Kaiser make over 2 million a week? Cheat the members out of what they pay for.

Let's hope that the family is stronger than they realize, and don't settle but that's selfish on my part. This is a fantastic legal and moral victory and the Arce family deserves our support regardless of what they decide to do. I think that it is wonderful that this child and his parents have done the near impossible already. As my boys say, "You rock!" I am looking forward to finding-out more about this case and I wish the family nothing but the best as they go forward.

Hot off the press! Kaiser suffered an stinging defeat in Superior Court. Kaiser was unsuccessful in their attempt to compel arbitration. This means that if Kaiser doesn't settle, it would have to face the jury.
