me, my wife and son all work for kaiser permanente in snta clara ca . we are victims of the recent security breach that happened. i’m just tired of calling and monitoring all our accounts, changing old to new account, credit cards, etc to stay safe and secured due to their negligence, and these almost i do since the breach was announced last february. this is the second time this happened to me and my wife. last yr we had another letter from kaiser for the same reason. i think something has something to be done with this. also, most union members are also confused about what’s going on in our union?. we do not know who to believe now?? uhw or seiu or what?? will be glad to hear from you.
    thanks, roberto

As far as I know there is no private cause of action for a privacy breach. Maybe if there were some economic damages, but you’d have to contact a civil rights attorney to find out. Call the Bar Association to get some names to try.

One of my friend’s co-workers says she already filed a class action lawsuit against Kaiser for the fact that someone stole thousands of dollars from her because Kaiser did not protect her personal information. Her lawyers are in Santa Monica, California but she lives somewhere in Northern California. They are the Milstein law firm I think. I had this happen to me too but with another company and my credit was totally ruined.
